Pandemic isolation has people feeling antsy, ourselves included! Our goal for 2021 is to become better connected with YOU and provide valuable insights to the industry. People are ready to get out and travel again, which is a welcome relief to the hotel industry. With guest check-ins on the rise we need to be mindful with ramping up and preparing our hotel properties and staff to be ready to welcome guests.
We want you to know we hear you. We are listening as you share what your biggest challenges have been during the pandemic and what you are facing post shutdowns. Our number one priority is to help. We want to build with you, together. Our hope is that we can provide you with the best resources possible so that you can bounce back and thrive.
Over the next several weeks we will be rolling out our Key Steps initiative that will guide you step-by-step through the most proactive approach to recovery. We all want to see 2021 be profitable, but how do we do that when facing so many obstacles? For example, many hotels are facing lower-than-normal staff and constrained budgets, while hospitality management companies are finding it challenging to manage capital planning and renovation tracking for a large portfolio of hotels. In order to recover successfully (and ensure longevity) we need be intentional about facing these challenges head on – all while staying focused on our top priority: the safety and experiences of guests and hotel staff.
We are PROUD! We are so proud of you and the ingenuity you have shown through this pandemic! Guests need to continue to feel safe and confident that proper cleaning measures are being taken. You have responded by adding extra sanitation measures in common areas and support your employees by encouraging them to adhere to local and property level safety and PPE requirements. Also, many hotels have rolled out contactless services ranging from mobile check-ins, grab-and-go breakfasts, and contactless kiosks where guests can purchase a-la-carte items such as snacks, beverages, light bites, and sundries. It truly has been inspirational to see the new and creative services hotels have implemented. We know guests see it and appreciate it immensely. They recognize your care and concern for them just as we hope you recognize our care and concern for you.
With that, we want you to know we have been busy. While we did take a break from blogging during COVID, we only did so to accelerate our product roadmap and further enhance our best-in-class EAM and capital planning software for hotels. We made several exciting updates to our platform, which include a completely refreshed, modern user interface, enhancements to our capital planning and risk management modules, and so much more. We also have expanded and upgraded the team, improving our ability to continue to grow and deliver the best possible product and service to our customers.
