Product Training Specialist

The Product Training Specialist position entails a full spectrum of training related responsibilities. This person will coordinate with a Project Manager to set client expectations and training objectives before on-site training is scheduled. On-site training includes configuring software to meet client needs, matching client operations to software capabilities, efficient use of time to convey all training subjects, consulting on best practices and troubleshooting any software issues. While in the office, this person will conduct webinars, update manuals and technical reference guides and assist Support with advanced troubleshooting and training related calls.


  • Provides instruction on use of supported products and mobile hardware
  • Develops training programs (in person & web training)
  • Travels onsite to train customers; up to a maximum of 3 weeks per 4 weeks
  • Adapts to a range of computer skilled audiences
  • Effectively manages training time to deliver all subject matter
  • Effectively applies knowledge and experience to ad hoc situations
  • Researches items which cannot be immediately answered or resolved; follow up with customer until final resolution
  • Assists in troubleshooting issues presented to support personnel (3rd┬átier support)
  • Responsible for creating and updating product user guides and technical references
  • Responsible for project-related tasks involving implementation documentation and oral presentations
  • Effectively and regularly submits knowledge documents
  • Interfaces effectively with people at all levels of the company
  • Demonstrates knowledge of available resources within the company
  • Demonstrates knowledge of applications and platforms currently utilized by the company
  • Maintains own proficiency through continuous learning, product testing, and other professional development activities
  • Displays a sense of ownership, initiative, and enthusiasm

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in training business-to-business software
  • Experience in QA testing a plus
