We are pleased to announce that EIS enhancements will be posted on our CPE blog for your convenience. We hope that you find them useful. We will continue to provide you updates as necessary.

Please take a look at all of our CPE Management Enhancements related posts.

Improved Container Label

A Container is a way to group serial numbers, like on a pallet, and use one Container ID barcode to represent all of the equipment inside.

A few new fields were added to the header of the Container Label; User Location and Site.

The Total Count number was made larger and placed in a box where it is easier to see. This is especially helpful when a pallet is stored on an elevated shelf.

The lower half of the label was enhanced with a summary count of each model. Lastly, the Container ID was modified so that zeros would appear with slashes, to differentiate from the letter O.

Improved Transaction Label

A Transaction is created each time serial numbers are Received, Updated and Shipped in the EIS system. A Transaction Label can be printed and used on a pallet. This will allow a user to scan one Transaction # barcode to represent all of the equipment inside.

A few new fields were added to the header of the Transaction Label; User, Site and Reference #.

The Total Count number was made larger and placed in a box where it is easier to see. This is especially helpful when a pallet is stored on an elevated shelf.

WatchList Enhancements

WatchList was created to help identify equipment that requires attention without spending hours searching.

WatchList Items in Current Inventory

Now when a user queries current inventory in the Inventory Master, any items on the WatchList will be identified.

A red alert box labeled with a “W” will appear next to the serial number, making it easier than ever to detect WatchList items in your inventory.

Further, clicking on the serial number link will launch the Inventory Serial History Report that will display the reason the item is on the WatchList.

WatchList Items in Transactions

The Transactions screen was enhanced to detect WatchList items in the process of doing daily work.

In the Details section, a red alert box labeled with a “W” was added to automatically appear next to any serial numbers on the WatchList.

Further, clicking on the serial number link will launch the Inventory Serial History Report that will display the reason the item is on the WatchList.

WatchList in the Inventory Serial History Report

The Inventory Serial History Report was modified to identify, in red, if the serial number in on the WatchList and the reason why.

This useful report can be launched throughout the EIS system where serial numbers are listed. Clicking on the serial number link (in blue) will launch the Inventory Serial History Report.

EIS Ownership Exception Management

Enterprise Inventory System has been enhanced with a new module called Ownership Exception Management.  The purpose of the Ownership Exception Management Module is to automate the processing of exceptions when trying to receive CPE inventory at site locations; without having to wait for third party intervention or the EIS Administrator.

EIS will notify the owner or causing site that an improper transaction processes has caused an exception for a site location trying to receive equipment.  This notification will be delivered via email directly from EIS with a description and link to the exception(s).

For Example:

Equipment is in transit to Site A, however Site B tries to perform a “Receive” which would then cause an ownership exception.  This is because Site A has current ownership rights to “Receive” the equipment.

User’s setup with “EIS Exception Administrator” permissions may access the Ownership Exception Management functions.  From this main screen, the user will have the option to approve or reject ownership exception contained in their location list.

Once approved or rejected the request to transfer is completed.  Then all sites involved will be notified (Site A and Site B) via email alerting them the approval or rejection has been completed.
