[Dunedin, Florida], November 16, 2010 – Mintek Mobile Data Solutions announced today its inclusion on Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers.
Mintek Mobile Data Solutions, Inc. return to the top 500 was the result of strong software revenue growth of over 26% to make this year’s Software Magazine’s revenue based rankings.
“The 2010 Software 500 results show that revenue growth in the software and services industry was healthy, with total Software 500 revenue of $491.7B billion worldwide for 2009, representing virtually flat growth from the previous year,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com.
Enterprise Asset Management/ Cable Warehouse Management System Growth
The ability of Mintek to grow during the current recession can be attributed to the development of Transcendent®, an industry leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution that combines the functionality of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) with EAM tools enabling facility management to manage assets over their entire lifecycle. The result is better asset and maintenance management wrapped into one dynamic hosted platform.
“Ease of use as well as an understanding of our client’s pain allows us to exceed our client’s expectations” says Lind Hutton, Mintek’s President. Lind goes onto say that “We continue to set ourselves apart because our ability to adapt to change and exceptional technical support.”
In addition to a state-of-the-art EAM and CMMS solution, Mintek dominates the cable warehouse management industry with WinTrack® SETS, a state of the art warehouse management. Wintrack® SETS is the only cable warehouse management system that integrates with the three major cable billing systems.
About Software Magazine
“The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research and create the short list of business partners,” Desmond says. “It is a quick reference of vendor viability. And the online version, to be posted soon at www.Softwaremag.com, is searchable by category, making it what we call the online catalog to enterprise software.”
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.
Some 47% percent of the 2010 Software 500 companies are privately held, a group that includes Mintek.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2009. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co.
