Accounts Receivable Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform daily deposits of checks via banking software

• Record payments in proprietary software

• Maintain detailed spreadsheet of payment details by customer

• Address customer questions regarding unpaid balances

• Assist customers with payment remittance

• Contact customers on unpaid balances

• Answer phone calls and route to appropriate personnel

• Other duties as assigned

 

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure

• Great organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail

• Advance computer skills specifically in the MS Office suite of products

• Familiarity with accounting software packages, Sage Intacct a plus

 

Education and training requirements

• Associates degree in business or accounting and/or 1 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable.
